Best In Show - Sedalia, MO  3/10/12

Sierra won BIS for show #1 and RIS for show #2 (with a different rabbit).  Here she is shown with her black senior doe Knight's Charcoal and judge Tex Thomas who judged show #1.  The Youth in Ag Show was a huge success with a very high turnout.  It is a fundraiser show that goes back into youth awards for their fair.  The BIS awards were beautiful homemade lamps by judge David Kroenke.

Sierra's first Best in Show with Knight's Flower and Judge Mike Avesing
MVRBA Spring Show in De Witt, Iowa 3/6/11

Picture
This win was especially exciting because we bred Knight's Flower from a broken Broadfoot doe (GC B548 - AKA "Jamey") and a black buck Lowe's Ace in the Hole "Grixby".  We hope she will "keep it together" for a few more spring shows and then become our new top black brood doe!

2010 National ARBA Convention and Show

Sierra took 10 animals to show and 6 placed high in their respective classes.  The four most notable wins include BOSV Chocolate with her chocolate senior doe "Knight's Kiss", a class win in the black junior doe class with "Knight's Flower", a 5th place (out of 34!) in the senior broken buck class with "Broadfoot's B662" (AKA Elmo), and a 4th place in the senior black buck class with "Briallu's Rock Solid".  What a great learning experience for us as we head into our second year of showing and breeding high quality mini rex rabbits.

Sierra with Knight's Kiss BOSV Chocolate at 2010 ARBA Nationals

Picture
Kiss is a great little doe out of GC Missy's Brownie and BC Mira.  She gets the judges attention at all the shows we go to but there are rarely enough chocolates to compete and she can't quite seem to beat the blacks and brokens for BOB!!!  We plan on showing her early this coming spring and then she will hopefully become a foundation animal in our chocolate breeding program.

Sierra with Knight's Flower - 1st place black junior doe at 2010 ARBA Nationals

Picture
Flower is a great little doe out of Broadfoot's Jamey (she has 3 legs and her GC is pending) and Lowe's Ace in the Hole.  She has great density and texture along with great type.  She will be shown this spring and then join our breeding herd.

Sierra with Broadfoot's B662 (Elmo)

Picture
Elmo is out of Broadfoot's Primo who has 14 legs and his dam is Broadfoot's Emma who has 10 legs.  Elmo started out weak as a junior but has come on strong as a senior.  Elmo's GC is pending with 3 legs - two of which are BOS wins!

One Year Anniversary Show a Smashing Success!!

The Waterloo Cattle Congress Rabbit Show in 2009 marked the beginning of our venture into the world of the mini rex rabbit.  One year later a the 2010 Cattle Congress Show we realized how blessed we are and how far we have come in these long/short 12 months.  This year Sierra showed both the BOB and BOS in the youth show!!!  The BOS rabbit, B662 (aka Elmo) is a very handsom broken black buck from the Broadfoot's Rabbitry.  The BOB rabbit, Knight's Live Wire, is a white doe we raised from an awesome Maple Kelly doe and a great buck from Sarah Lewis (via Caleb Burke).  The mating was one suggested by Caleb - Thanks Caleb!  Live Wire went on to win Best 4-Class Rabbit in Youth!!!
